Live Entertainment is our business
Flying Saucer Presents is a new entertainment business run by Melbourne live music mainstay Mark Burchett. The new entity follows on from esteemed Melbourne-based promotor Leicashow Presents and will continue to work with several of the same artists, including Ross Wilson, as well as a recently announced East Coast Ups and Downs 40th Anniversary tour. Burchett's role in Melbourne music goes back to his days as co-proprietor of the VAMP agency in the ’80s, who represented Melbourne’s much-loved Painters & Dockers and Huxton Creepers nationally and who represented numerous other national bands in Melbourne including the likes of the Beasts of Bourbon, The Cruel Sea, Lime Spiders and more. From the ‘90s onwards he worked as booking agent at Premier Artists before becoming a driving force in much loved south side venues the Caravan Club and the Flying Saucer Club from which Flying Saucer Presents takes its name.
